We’ve seen SHOCK! being compared to a multitude of H!P songs by a large amount of H!P bloggers, but why haven’t I seen anyone compare it to Melon Kinenbi’s Kousui? Seriously, they’re exactly the same.
For one thing, both PVs were filmed in an underground carpark of some sort. And they both had windy closeups. But mostly it’s because both songs were 90% dominated by one person. Except Kousui’s worse… at least in SHOCK!, all the girls got to sing the chorus. In Kousui they just got the weird rap.
The only difference is that Kousui’s awesome.
This just came to my attention in light of the news of Melon Kinenbi’s disbandment. When I heard about it, I gasped, went “Aww man” and that’s about it.
In the meantime, I am quitely working on my upcoming Berryz single ranking. I’m just going to wait until the HQ PVs for the upcoming single are released until I finalise everything, because I want to give them a fair chance. So look forward to that.
